Radiowave Surgery!

What is Radiowave Surgery?

Where laser surgery uses focused light frequencies to cut, radiowave surgery utilizes radio frequencies. But unlike laser surgery, there is no risk of accidentally burning other tissues through reflection or penetration of a light beam. Radiofrequency energy is low-temperature, minimizing the occurence of tissue necrosis and burning.

What does this mean for my pet?

  • Decreased post-operative pain by sealing nerve endings as it cuts.
  • Decreased post-surgical swelling.
  • Less blood loss because it closes off blood vessels as it cuts.
  • Reduced risk of infection by vaporizing bacteria along the length of the incision.
  • Quicker recovery.
  • Safer than laser surgery.
  • No burning or charring of the tissue.

What kinds of procedures can be done with Radiowave Surgery?

Spay, neuter, declaws, skin tags, tumor removal, biopsy, mastectomy, anal fistula, excess gum tissue, etc. Just ask the doctor if this is something that can be used for the surgery your pet may need to undergo.
